Franklin & Marshall Football 11-05-10

Although the team didn't fare as well as last week, and the light was just a 'little' more harsh, I'd still be hard pressed to find a better place to spend a crisp fall afternoon than the sidelines of F&M...

  1. Nice stuff. Lovin' #1. The first handful of photos look a little colder than you usually shoot. No big deal. Just an observation.

  2. Yeah, I noticed that too. The clouds wouldn't make up their minds Saturday. In, out, bright, dark. I was anywhere from 5000K all the way up through 7200k with up to a 4 stop difference depending on what the clouds were doing!!! It was madness! It made shooting backlit really tricky because the exposure and WB were so susceptible to what the clouds were doing.

#1 was definitely my personal favorite from the day.

  3. I hear you about the clouds. Same thing happened on Friday when I shot the first round of that soccer tournament. I'll probably post some pictures eventually.

    7200 though! Wow....

  4. Yeah it was madness! I'd be shooting backlit, and then one of those thick, dark gray clouds would cover up the sun. 2000K difference, and the exposure would drop 3-4 stops.

It was like the arrows scene in the movie 300!! Haha
